Entertainment During COVID-19

Although I still often question my sanity, since the beginning of COVID, I have found ways to stay entertained and have something to look forward to by keeping a tradition that I had pre-pandemic. My family and I decided to make a new tradition of having a movie and takeout night every Saturday, which we've successfully done since May. I don't think that this would be possible during a time like this without technology and the increasing popularity of streaming services. Although it doesn't feel the same as going into a theater, buying movie snacks, having to stay quiet, and all the other stuff that comes with going out, implementing this has brought a new wave of etiquette and tradition. My family and I have grown a lot closer, and it's something that we all mutually enjoy doing. Every Saturday, we choose from a jar of movie suggestions that we added to and watch whichever the 'family member of the week' chooses. COVID-19 has brought a lot of pain, suffering, and hardship, but I'm glad that my family and I have been able to make the best out of it.

Also, here's something that you might want to try too. My family and I have started bike riding which I haven't done in maybe a decade. We ride from home to two local parks. I did not even realize one park even existed, which is about a five-minute bike ride away from my home, until Covid-19. I didn't realize that I enjoyed bike riding so much and am glad that I rediscovered it. I too am really saddened about all the suffering that Covid-19…
